Hi guys,
Does anybody know how I should go about getting a media pass for the Pukekohe round of NZSBK? I'm a keen photographer and am hoping to get a media pass so I can go to into the in fields to get some shots.

Also, is there a website out there that shows all the motorcycle race events around the North Island? I've had a look around but all the websites seem to only have dates for car events.

Thanks.

You don't need one a Puke. It's all open. Just wear a vest and be sensible and they'll leave you alone

It's interesting that you say that. The last time I was there the guys were happy to let me walk around even though I told them I didn't have a media pass when they asked me. But I thought it would better to get a media pass if possible just in case the NZSBK marshalls weren't as nice.

Limmy, just ask the marshals at the point you want to take pics. Last two rounds of the AMCC they've just let me take from wherever I wanted, provided I wasn't standing in the middle of the track or something equally dumb.

Just make a fake one on your computer. Those nincompoops wouldn't know the difference.

Will do...if they let me in :)

Hmm...that gives me an idea. I should get a list of KBers that are racing and take photos of them. That would make it a bit more interesting. Otherwise I just end up taking photos of the same bikes. I could be the official KB photographer :) Not a very good one though. Haha.

Awesome :) Come say hi if you're wandering around in the pits at any time.

Depends where on the track you want to be. The only ones we (marshalls) let past our point trackside are those normally being escorted, or at least announced via radio. Simple safety issue. We can't have people endangering the bikes, or them endangering you, or people being in our way if we need to do something.

Anyone else stays behind us (depends where on the track you are talking about too, as the points vary in proximity to track, how close spectators can get etc).

In-field, pass. Generally people can walk around the track in relative freedom I think. You may be stopped from going on the horse area.
