View Full Version : Why some men wear ear rings?

I have often wondered how this trend got started, I now have the answer.
A man is at work one day when he notices that his co-worker is wearing an earring. This man knows his co-worker to be a normally conservative fellow, and is curious about his sudden change in "fashion sense."
The man walks up to him and says, "I didn't know you were into earrings."
"Don't make such a big deal, it's only an earring, "he replies sheepishly.
His friend falls silent for a few minutes, but then his curiosity prods him to say, "So, how long have you been wearing one?"
"Ever since my wife found it in my car."

Lol... Piercings are nothing special. Two lip piercings, two tongue piercings, three in my right ear (two of the three are stretchers) and ten in my left ear. Tattoo is three pawprints on my left shoulderblade, but I'm getting another designed as we speak!
Photos are a no-go, I haven't got any... I see myself every day in the mirror, after all... ;)

As per my sig, each to their own is my take on it. But I've never found a man more attractive because he wore earrings. I find it borderline disturbing if in both ears, and totally 80s to have it in the left ear.

Yeah, you gotta take time with them. I've been thinking through the one being designed now for at least a year, and the ones I already have are personal as they represent different members of my immediate family (mother, father and sister), as well as my childhood - I was brought up with animals all around me.
And why would people not taking me home to be their boyfriend have anything to do with my vagina? That's totally sexist. I'm more man then some men!
i.e., a ballsy brat who'll punch people's teeth out before she'll bitch about them.

Sigh. If I'd kept all my piercings I've ever had though I'd have five more than that and none of those five were ear piercings - nipple, three surface (nape, and two cleavage) and my anti-eyebrow.
I miss my anti-eyebrow and my nipple piercings most. :bye:

Probably because a tom boy hangs out with the guys and as such becomes one of them, while a fag hangs out with the chicks and is accepted as one of them.

I don't know the truth of this but in my early days of youth I knocked around with a group of guys who worked on the Inter island ferries. Some stewards wore ear rings in those day. early Sixties This was way before it became mainstream. Depending on what ear your wore the 'ring' this would indicate your preferance of 'giving' or 'receiving.'

I always thought a guy wore an earing to pay for his funeral. Traditionally a gipo or sailor would be buried by there mates. Who ever dug the grave got to keep the wee gold ring.

Yeah but let's be frank, men with pierced tongues make chicks think of the reason why they get their tongues pierced for a guy's pleasure.
Now alright, admitting, I have two tongue piercings, but believe me, they were done more because I wanted them than to make some guy happy.
But I've known men with pierced tongues, and I know they're not homosexual, but that's what leaps into my head at first glance... Sorry.

Thats nice.
I just wanted a big hole in my tongue.
The fact that its the most playful thing I've had is a big bonus.
I would have to agree if someone's only positive point is a pierced tongue. Then they are sad gits. Nice to know they want to do something. Sad to think that is only positive aspect to a relationship with them.
I really like the fact that people don't know I have a pierced tongue untill they have known me for a long time. Added shock is very funny. Both from employers & friends that have become more. Or just friends that think What the fuck.
For the record I have never been Homosexual. Nothing wrong with that. I am just very much in love with a woman who would probably prefer me not to have this thing through my tongue.
Ps I think the very 80's joke is from Nancy Cartwright. We all know her as the voice of Bart Simpson.
