Coming through Lower Hutt lights this afternoon some dipshit pulled in from the left hand to the right hand lane in front of a car which only just avioded it. I was 2 cars back and saw it happening.

Anyway, as I was lanesplitting passed I knocked on the passenger window and gave the "look where you're going sign" and the bitch in the passenger seat was so startled she gave me the bird and mouthed off at me.

One look at her ugly face and I thought, "there is justice in this world".

Sometimes your natural reaction is to flick people off though. Example - I was riding through a round-about and indicated out of it. Then at the next intersection this women is about to turn in front of me and suddenly slams on the brakes. As I ride past she yells something that I couldn't really catch out of her open window. Naturally I give her the finger and ride on. Next round-about I go to indicate and low and behold my indicators still on. Probably what the women was yelling about.

*Sigh* I am so desperately old-fashioned I cringe when I hear of other "ladies" making rude hand gestures. I think they may actually do it more often than blokes these days.

I'd rather have a mode of transport called GSXR than Legume or Mistral, Enima, Alive, Nimbus, Esteem, blah, blah, blah... :Pokey:

(Misspelling intentional. No correspondence will be entered into. No animals were harmed in the creation of this post. Yet.)

I personally try and avoid flipping the bird. It's a pretty strong signal and some people do have strong feelings on the issue.

The - what are you thinking, you fucking moron - gesture of stunned disbelief and an open palm going slowly for the helmet has seen some use though.

I only do the finger to people I like, it's kind of a "Gidday mate, get one of those up ya" kind of things.

Is one finger more or less offensive than, or the same as, two?

Indeed. I question the mentality of people who'd spend money buying a four wheeled ceiling fan or douche bag.

I'd guess that the stupid girl had no idea what you were gesturing to her, or what it related to.

Shame it is so hard to moon them saxon dogs from a bike.

I laugh every time I see one, i'm sure it's meant to read "enema"; when I see a Legnum I always "see" legume. And there is definitely something wrong with driving a Cedric (unless he's a sugar daddy perhaps). No offence to anyone out there called Cedric - I'll just go :spanking: myself.

I saw a Toyota the other day, proudly displaying the model notation of "Marino". Yeah, good one, a sheep for a car....

Toyota EMINA. Its a stupid name all the same:bleh:

Same as the Bongo Brawny - what a STUPID name for a vehicle! As for the Legnum, I always think of legumes when I see one!

Did you know that the Subaru Legacy is not called that in Australia because there is a foundation called Legacy Australia which aids veterans and their families during and after wars. Over there it is called a Liberty.

Marino - common Italian name

Merino - breed of sheep

Maybe they are trying to imply the vehicle is manly!
