Hey all,

I have a love/hate relationship with the hard as a rock rear shock on my ZXR750 H1. Its awesome on smooth, long corners, but a real ball breaker around town! Anyone know of a good solution so that I can have kids one day, but still have it corner wickedly?

Cheers

buy a honda...

HAHA! i'm sorry..i almost bought an H1 once. all seriousness though litre-bike honda and suzi (fully adjustable too) tend to be great shocks, kawasaki tends to assume everyone buying their bikes are racetrack riders. same with ducati. never been bashed around so much as i have on a 916..

Just get the damper re-gassed and fit a new spring or get a complete shocky assembly. There's plenty of options available but it depends on how much coin you want to spend :msn-wink:

Respringing alone is not going to solve the bone jarring problem, the piston compression ports are too small and the valving aggressive. On an abrupt bump the shock effectively chokes off / hydraulic locks. The end result is proprtional to how many dollars you want to spend. Cheap job equals cheap result etc

As always ay! I love my H1 and intend on keeping it for a long time, so Ill spend what it takes. Im taking it into TSS for some work Friday & will inquire there about getting a new complete shock assembly. Cheers
