My suggestion is to turn on a tap, put your fingers in your ears and drink a lot of water. No joke, it helps me

I used to take a breath and try and hold it (like shove it down and try and hold it as long as I could (tense up your osophegos like you're holding your breath). Seemed to work everytime for me.
Tried taking a teaspoon of vinegar or sugar before, they didn't seem to work for me. Old wives tales perhaps?

Get a strawberry milkshake.
Download the video from this thread (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showpost.php?p=706052&postcount=1).
Watch it while drinking the milkshake.

find someone nearby. Ask them to offer you money to hiccup.
Doesn't need to be much, a simple;
"I'll give you a dollar if you hiccup again!" Usually suffices.

Drink a huge glass or water non-stop or get someone to give ya a real fright. Preferably someone u don't know so well. These sometimes work.

Second that,but can use a straw and large glass of water,or have someone block your ears whilst you drink the water,usually about 200-300 mls will do.

get somone to punch you in the guts, on an upward angle. as stupid as it sounds, it kinda resets your diaphragm. as well as hurting like hell and winding you.
if it doesn't work, try the glass of water thing, when you get your breath back

Best thing ever (esp. if you have young kids) is Woodwards Gripe Water! Which is basically a sugary syrup with dill seed juice.
Next best thing - works for me and (now older) kids - is a teaspoon of sugar - BUT you have to suck it on the teaspoon, and let it dissolve slowly! Don't just swallow it.
