TRANS TASMAN DRAGBIKE CHALLENGE 2008
Featuring the Outback Seven

The Trans Tasman Dragbike Challenge is on again in 2008 with Ten Australian dragbike riders travelling over the ditch to compete against the best Dragbike riders New Zealand has to offer.
Originally held in New Zealand in 1993, resurrected in 2005 and following on from the successful meetings in Australia in 2006, the Fourth Dragbike Challenge promises some of the fastest racing seen between the two countries.
Eight riders from the Northern Territory, one from Tasmania and one from Queensland will make up the Aussie Team and they are keen to once again dominate the Kiwi's and defend their undefeated record.

The Challenge is being held over two meetings in the North Island being:
24th February 2008 - Taupo International Dragway - Taupo
1st & 2nd March 2008 - Fram Autolite Dragway - SH1 Meremere (formerly Champion Dragway)

The Australian Team comprises:

WAYNE BIRD - KAWASAKI Z 1327
HEATH COSTELLO - HARLEY DAVIDSON 124ci FXR
WAYNE GRIFFIN - SUZUKI GSX 1170 (SUPERCHARGED)
BALDY SAINSBURY - KAWASAKI GPZ 1327
GEOFF HALL - KAWASAKI GPZ 1170
CLIVE MAINLAND - SUZUKI GSX 1170 (NITROUS)
STEVE PARIS - SUZUKI GSX 1360
MARGIE PARIS - SUZUKI GSX 1170
JOHN TURNER - HARLEY DAVIDSON FXR
BOB CASTLE - SUZUKI GSX 1100

The fierce rivalry that exists between Australia and New Zealand serves to fuel the fire of competition and ensures riders leave nothing in reserve.
Previous years challenges have provided some excellent close racing as well as forging a bond between the international drag bike riders and their supporters.
Friendships and rivalries will be re-kindled as Kiwi's and Aussies go head to head for the supreme title of Trans Tasman Drag Bike Champions for 2008.

Will you be racing the Aussies - or will you just talk about it??
