Slight problem. One of the currie brothers who race there RG150's from time to time have that number. Kris Currie. He turned up 4 out 6 rounds last session. I didn't include him on the list because he's not officially a bucket. But as he has been there for a while and probabaly will come back it might pay to rethink your choice :(.

2 dig max rule so the poor lap scorer don't get too confused/give up, go home & we'd have to settle the results by fisticuffs. Which I'm not in favour of unless we can cable tie Sully to his bike first:shifty:

You do all realise the only time recording your number is important is on the sign on sheet?
Whoever signs the sheet first gets to use that number and any subsequent entries must use a different number.

Grub

Uh ... no :slap:

It's a bit hard though to fit "Whoever signs the sheet first gets to use this number and any subsequent riders will use a different number" on the front number board. And it just doesn't look as cool.

Well due to unforseen circumstances, Team Nudsty has two additional bikes for numbering up and we have a naming confusion since we have multiple riders riding multiple bikes. The team management haven't yet awarded the works drives.

Anyway .... time to reserve two more numbers please Kyle and rename the bikes so we remember which has which number :)

Cheers for a ride on ya 50, i thought it went really well. Heaps of torque down low for a 50 and very smooth engine, lovely sound clicking up gears etc.
In fact it wasn't that much off my 100 for power.
If you short shift i reckon you could almost keep up with lukes RG50, not craig's tho.

How's the repairs on the kdx going?

thats alright. just sort out the fuel problems then i'll be ready to go for the next round.
as for the kdx i just need to replace the fuel tap and get 2 back wheel spacers, i lost the old ones. i was looking foward to a good ride on it on tuesday. then just about to go for a ride then i realised i was missing the spacer.

Start hunting then, go find the spacers and next time keep them on the axle.

Your bucket's chamber design looks very similar to my Ol' DT175 chamber. It seems to peak quite low in the rev range (Correct me if im wrong).
So i doubt your get some real top end by changing the jet's.
Best bet would to make a new chamber if you have the tools.

I would also suggest fixing the carb spring/throttle cable, its not really that dangerous atm, but it's probabaly a quick fix and will let you have more control over you throttle input's and more feel (I couldn't feel when i was at full or not).
Other than that cool bike!

At Mt Welly he rule seems to be one number one bike.
John is trying to cut down on confusion for the lap scorers which is fair enough.
Wants the number to be unique across classes as well so no F4 and F5 with the same number.
I had to whack an extra digit on for TRRS since mr Kendog had the number I usually run already, might leave it that way for the four ring circus to cut down on the confusion.

I believe if you are riding them both you can use the same number but need diferent numbers for different riders.

Finally found name for my new one, "ZENSEN" (fight a good fight).
so now my new bucket, a CBR125 Zensen is 37, 38 a Suzuki RG50 is Wanisami (shark) and my bike from last year is now 39, a Yamasuki RGX125 is Ikasu (old but cool) as I haven't found any objections to using that number.

PM me or post here if you want any changes to it, I am sure there will be a few. It takes 2 seconds to change it and it will be handy to keep an updated file here in this thread. I am unsure who is in A or B or both grades, I probably don't have everyone's numbers and it's likely enough that there are errors. Just let me know!

29th April 2012, 22:33
Not wanting to be a difficult bugger but in Auckland we don't allow people to reserve numbers, if it isn't being used you get it when you race, otherwise there seems to be a tendency for bikes to sit in sheds for years at a time tying up numbers and there never seem to be enough to go round these days in any case.

hmurphy
30th April 2012, 01:25
You're dead right Henk, I only made this list as a guideline more than anything. It's just so that the new people can choose a number without having to possibly change it. We have had a lot of new people racing in Wellington which probably has a lot to do with Fish sorting out the King of Kaitoke. No numbers are officially reserved but I'm sure noone is going to intentionally steal a regular's number

Henk
30th April 2012, 06:27
Fair enough.
When I've put the Auckland number list together it's been because I was building a bike and needed a number.
I've had a couple of people come back at me and say "I have bike number xx in my shed" or "sign me up for number n"
I've taken the approach that if you want to hang on to a number best you drag the bike to the track at least once every two years.
We're also trying to run no three digit numbers and no repeats A B F5. Probably not as important now we have the transponders set up but you never know when we may have to revert to manual lap timing.

It might be free if Sam no longer needs / wants it.

78 was on the bike I bought from Adrian. I decided to register my own number (66) on the basis the number goes to the rider not bike necessarily.

Therefore what I'm trying to say is 78 might be free again.

Bloody Adrian :)....
Cool well if it frees up then I'll take it back (returned to use in 2005; after F5dave told me off for using 28) :msn-wink:

And sadly you probably race in Wellington as often as I do at the moment.

probably more to be fair :bleh:

Not this year I'm afraid. Doubt we'll be down again, much as I love the place.

Just ask in here.
Its not a huge drama if you turn up with a number taken. But this is here for a reference :).

Hey Steve, good to have you here. Not sure where we are at with 3 digit numbers. Most prefer 2 for lapscoring.
