Hey guys

Im finally looking for my first road registered bike and i have come across a little suzuki gt 50 2str :wari:, which i think is pretty good for what things i'm going to be doing on it, basically a get around bike for school and work. (need something cheap, saving up for a dirtbike)

Just a few questions.
Do you think its worth around $500 without it being registered? (its classed as a scoot so it doesn't need wof). prices are pretty steep for what you get i reckon in the learner bike range.
Is there anything i should look out for on this type of bike?
Are there any questions you'd ask the guy???

heres a link to it: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=141219809

plus when I've had enough of it i could turn her into a bucket.

thanks guys I really appreciate any comments you leave.

Don't think it can be ridden on a car licence if it does 80km/h. Think they have to have a maximum of 50km/h.

thanks guys.

what kind of price would you guys consider a bike like that is worth? and are there any other cheap small bikes around like this?

Top end rebuild  resprayed tank  no reggo . No evidence of it's mechanical soundness?

It wouldn't get my dollars and I wouldn't be happy with a son of mine ridding it.

Check a few more out if you can find em, and take someone along that knows a bit about em.

Sorry young one I know you want somthing in a hurry but be careful, theres some crap out there. :niceone:

yeah i just loe the old school styling of them. you know the 70's lol dad had some mean bikes back then.

i was thinking of reliability? it'd be better if someone had a perfect little bike here in hawkes bay. i'e been looking at the scoots but they are so shite for the prices unless you pay $1500, but then i could buy a gn.

but then i could buy a gn.

that would probably be a more "sensible" choice
