I say blank the things out at the beginning of every year and let them accumulate as they may. For those that care about rep points the tallys shown will mean something, and for those that don't care they lose nothing.

I think it has its place and I do like the idea of it being cleared each year but with something for long service to the site and bikers.

I have found some of the drivel and the off topic stuff quite funny and think there are some right comedians on this site and have blinged them from time to time. I also believe though that all the good people know who the few idiots are and just ignore them and stay away from them anyway.

When I came back to this country I didn't know any bikers. I met White Trash at WMC and he put me onto this site. I now have some of the best friends I could ever ask for through him and this site. So I stick with them and ignore anyone that doesn't fit in with them. So I think you know the kind of people that have genuine Rep to you and those that don't

The Rep I have received has been very much appreciated and I thank all of you that have.

So I vote for MDU's idea with the added bit for long (good) service.

How many threads or posts have there been that relate to the rep system? There's always someone moaning about not having enough (usually green) or having too much (usually red.) The problem I see with the system is that people can receive the "reward" without actually earning it. If I want to earn loads of bling in a hurry, I only need to find 10 people who're prepared to give me bling everyday and I will do the same in return for them. BAM! Bling increasing rapidly.

I have no problem with people receiving bling for a post that adds value to the site. This is subjective anyway because different posts give value to different people.

Provides huge entertainment for some, great resourse for seeking info, aranging meetings etc. The blings are only a problem for the insecure ones, who really cares about them ?
