Oh I dunno... In a couple of them you gotta feel sorry for the rider as well. Not all of the ones (second vid, obviously) were trying to show off and failing... Some were just trying to ride and failing...
And that sucks. If you're not being stupid and you bin, that must be a bitch.

Wow, just when I think you can't be anymore of a jerk, you go and outdo yourself. I realise what you are trying to achieve, and I think you will find that all motorcyclists on this site want to live and ride for as long as possible. So there is nothing wrong with your message, in fact it is to be commended. Yet still people attack what you post. Wonder why? Might have something to do with the tactless delivery. You might think it's great for shock value. You might think that people are living in denial. Well I've got an answer for you, one you might not like. We know we are mortal, we know that people die on bikes. We know it first hand. We don't need some dipshit getting up on his soapbox about it and coming across like a jerk to tell us that we can improve our chances of survival. We know that. We don't all copy what we see on youtube, despite pulling the odd wheelie or whatever. In fact if I remember correctly motorbikes wheelied before youtube was even around. A lot of us might have gotten into bikes because of people like Evel Kinevel (sp?). Here was a guy who glorified risking life and limb on a motorcycle. Do you have a campaign against him.

I've got nothing against your message, nothing at all. What I do take issue with is the method of delivery. That's my opinion, I'm entitled to it. If I think the way you are delivering it is anti-productive, then I will call it out. I've mainly stayed out of these debates, but what irked me the other day was katmans post regarding the accident he happened across, and his blatant assumptions without consideration for any other factors. You then backed him up, in your usual condescending tone. Now someone posts up a video of an idiot stunting on a public road wearing little if no safety gear, and you post up a video of a fatal accident, and then add 'This one's real funny!'.

I don't want to be killed by a speeding driver, or a doctor who is to tired from working 90 hours straight.
Exactly how big is this island you want to put people onto? Where do we stop?
Regardless - My point remains the same - enjoying the harm that has happened to others is psychotic.
As per my other post in this thread - I cannot imagine you coming on here going "My sister txt'ed while driving to tell me she was going to be late, and ended up having an accident and died. Fucken good job - stupid bitch. Im glad she's dead."

I've already stated (in the thread banished to PD) that the cause of the accident that I came upon was very easily figured out. I was there probably within 60 secs of it happening. No other vehicle was travelling in the other direction, there was no foreign matter or substance on the road, conditions were absolutely perfect and the motorcyclist had clearly just come over the crest too hot and failed to even attempt to take the corner.
You however, were not there and yet you still felt the need to defend the motorcyclist by claiming that there could have been any number of mitigating circumstances. You sound like you live in a world of denial.

There's never any excuse for going out time and time again to risk your life and endanger other's lives... And should that happen, to take another's life, is the worst thing anyone could do in my opinion... Though it's bad enough to kill yourself stupidly and put your family through pain (and/or embarassment)

You never answered my question - But Ill answer yours.
The difference is in one thread they are laughing at the black humour of how he died. He is a repeat offender who has actually gone out of his way and put effort into making something (the false seatbelt), when just taking the easy path and using the real seatbelt could have saved his life.
There is a difference in laughing in Darwin Award type deaths as opposed to actually being seriously happy that the guy is dead, or wishing for him to die. Can you see the difference?

thus my quote below stands.
With the exception of the worst of the worst types of people (Child molesters etc), I think anyone who can say that they are glad someone died doing something (even if it is stupid), is pathetic.
Lets say one of your kids (or your mum if you dont have kids), did something silly in a car - (Like driving too fast for the conditions just to get somewhere on time) - they end up face first in a power pole dead. Would you be OK with that? Would you be happy if others were?
Stupid as the stunters were - they are people with families and you comments pissed me off. Thats why Im red repping you - dipshit

There is a difference in laughing in Darwin Award type deaths as opposed to actually being seriously happy that the guy is dead, or wishing for him to die. Can you see the difference?

So let me get this straight. Two people who pull wheel stands at the funeral of a motorcycle accident victim and plow into, and kill each other deserve our sympathy?
Not from me they don't.

Sympathy needs to be broken up into different meanings. Sad for family? Yes sad for them? No.
Any loss of human life is sad just to differing degrees.

So do I. Two motorcycles plowing head on into each other through stupidity by one or both of the riders fits totally into that criteria.

Yet you seem to be happy to do it to others.:weep:
Dont mean to add fuel to this threads fire.. but NZ is an island.....

There's never any excuse for going out time and time again to risk your life and endanger other's lives... And should that happen, to take another's life, is the worst thing anyone could do in my opinion... Though it's bad enough to kill yourself stupidly and put your family through pain (and/or embarassment)
There is plenty of empty carparks and industrial estates out of the way of public vehicles for stunting.
...would not bother trying to tell the yanks that though, why would they bother if they dont have an audience to fuel their continent sized ego's?

That was indeed sad as well. But it was also very fascinating - in a morbid way...
I don't think anyone expressed any glee or happiness about the scooter riders demise either.

It's not just yanks though. People here in NZ do it as well, I'm sure someone can give us an example in no time of someone they know who died trying to stunt on a public road - this person potentially being a KB Member as well, I'd bet.
People like to show off, it's human nature. It's just how they choose to show off and what risks they put others into by wanting that audience that bothers me.

I have a lot of respect for people who can perform wheelies and stoppies with control. I suspect many started back in their early days, on small displacement bikes and worked the skills up through the cc ratings and got betterer & more fasterer as they grew.
Most of the retards in those video clips appear to me to be trying to learn stunting skills on big bikes, and in many cases on public roads. They are idiots of the highest order and they all get what's coming.
They certainly don't deserve to die for their actions.

However what a waste of some great looking bikes.....
