KB video:

Call for your home-made bike videos-

Some of you know I'm working on a big-motorcycle based video art show for June 08. I'd like KB'rs to have a representation of their own video-projects - so are looking to compile mini-DV dubs of any of your stunting, riding track days, motox, free rides...anything motorcycle culture that you've been working on & display it to the public for 3 weeks on a big data projection/ and multiple TV-DVD combo set-up. Here's the details:

-The exhibition will be at an art gallery in Auckland-but any KB'r can send in your Vids.
-The vids have to be "on-board" cam- where you shoot from the bike-either frame mounted, or helmet mounted.
-Total length should be 5mins or shorter
-The format we need is mini-DV pal & we'll produce DVD's from the miniDV pal tapes.
-The Vids need to come to me by mid April
-You need to have been the recording person-or be able to locate the person who has rights to the vid-material in order to be able to release copyright for the showing. :)
-Crashes are preferred but not essential lol:whistle: (joking)

I can only make a go of this KB vid-exhibition if there's enough to really ram the breadth of home-made recordings home! So please use this thread to ask questions, post demos or links that I can keep an eye on and from there I'll slowy work through to PMing anyone who keen to show off their vid-styles.

I'm keeping an eye on the vid-related threads that come up - but please repost your video-project links in here so I can get an idea who wants to put this stuff out at a higher resolution than web-streamin!! wihoo:yes:

Does the subject have to be in motion?
I saw a pretty cool time lapse study done of a total engine rebuild on a RGV250.
Took about 12 mins iirc... was great to watch.
Started by removing panels, teardown, then rebuilt both sides.
Only clue was watching the sun come up, then go down from a side window.
I thought it wa svery interesting.
ANy good to you?

hmmm that deos sound pretty rad - the show is called "need for speed" - this idea of the KB vids section is to get a view of stuff being made by US - was this vid made by a kiwi or fellow KBr...cause that's quite important-as is release of copyright for the show- there could be some exceptions to the onboard rule - but I'm mainly keen on POV-onboard cams-cause I'm aiming to get 20 or 30 DVD loops going on TV's in the space all at once if possible... if we can source the TV's. We'll probably hook up a data projector to a video switcher so we can cycle through each work and play it big...

There will be a few competing at the Cliff Hanger HillClimb with on board cams.

Should make for some good footage if we can get a cam on a fast run.

Any and all vids will go in so if there's two speeding cliffhangers ALRIGHT!! that would be mean as if you do have mini DV footage!
