Oh. Three weeks on this bike.

That's gotta be some kind of new record for least time with bike now, doesn't it Frosty?

I guess that just leaves Mella Yella and the XJ now in the gargre...

I think the picture might constitute a breach of the fair trading act.

What does in really look like? I might be interested ;)

And would you be selling this because of your love of gravity?

I must say Um er ya see theres this lil project i've always wanted to try --Involving a seca series yamaha --preferably a 900 but a 750 would do.
Well bugger me I was "donated'" a deregistered xj900 --quite ridable and as a bonus I built the motor about 5 years ago so it shouldn't be too knackered.
the better brakes, braced frame etc will make for an interesting bike.
Meanwhile the 750 is ridable once I put the front end back in it.

Want massive torque without so much as a gearchange? G is your bike. Not the easiest to throw through the bends but capable enough, very smooth cruising and no chain maintenance. With the modern fashion for naked sportsbikes she hides her age pretty well too. Motor good for 300,000 ks I'm told.

The rake on the front wheel is fairly big, is this what makes cornering such a pain? Or is this standard for the series because most of them have full fairings?

I had a look at

http://www.msgroup.org/forums/mtt/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=76

and this confirmed my preconception, the bike will be trying to self correct if you start turning.

So this bike was designed for highway riding - possibly. Or maybe for a commuter like me that typically only goes around corners at the traffic lights.

That means I would have to start looking at money - but with Christmas and holiday so close .... damn stupid time to be selling it. Keep it for another couple of months, I dare you.
