Help out a hopeless LOST watcher? What happened "after" the sinister blacker than black Company dude briefed Naomi in the empty office? My video cut out. :doh:All the blimmin preview/aftermath sequences are making it kind of essential to watch the whole thing.

Flashbacks
The remains of Oceanic Flight 815 are found by the Christiane I in the Sunda Trench. As Daniel Faraday watches this on television in Massachusetts, he weeps for an unknown reason.

Miles Straume is a medium. After hearing about 815's wreckage on the radio, he enters a house in Inglewood, California, and calms the spirit of a murdered boy by talking to him, also apparently convincing the ghost to show him the location of a hidden stash of money and drugs. He takes the money but leaves the drugs.

Charlotte Lewis is at an excavation site in Tunisia, and she finds the skeleton of a polar bear in the middle of a desert. Upon being questioned by her translator if the skeleton is real, she uncovers a collar (presumably from the polar bear) that bears the symbol of the Hydra Dharma station.

Frank Lapidus, on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas, watches on TV as the remains of 815 are excavated. Seeing the corpse of Seth Norris, the pilot, he calls into the Oceanic Hotline, claiming that the corpse shown is not the pilot, because he does not have a wedding ring, and is very sure of this. He also claims that he was supposed to be the pilot of Oceanic Flight 815.

Finally, Naomi is seen speaking to Matthew Abaddon, telling him that the people chosen (Faraday, Straume, Lewis, and Lapidus) are not right for the job. Abaddon tells her not to argue, and to just finish their mission. During their talk, Abaddon makes it extremely clear that there were no survivors of Oceanic Flight 815, a fact Naomi seems to disagree with.

[edit] On the island
The freighter crew's helicopter is caught in a violent storm over island. In the ensuing chaos, Daniel is pushed out of the helicopter. Upon landing in the jungle, he is found by Jack and Kate. Daniel, using Naomi's phone, contacts the freighter and tells Minkowski the fate of the chopper. Jack, Kate and Daniel set off to find the other members of the team. They use the phone to find Miles lying on some rocks near the ocean. Miles accuses the survivors of killing Naomi because she used the distress code: "Tell my sister I love her." Miles demands to be taken to Naomi's body; Jack and Kate are forced to comply because Miles is armed and they are not.

The group arrives at Naomi's body and Miles uses his medium skills to ascertain that Locke did, in fact, kill Naomi. The survivors gain the upper hand when Juliet and Sayid show up and disarm Miles and Daniel. Sayid attempts to use the phone, but is interrupted when it picks up the signal from Charlotte's tracking device. However they only find Vincent, the dog, with the device attached to his collar. They surmise that Locke has found Charlotte. Meanwhile, Frank shoots off a flare and is found by Jack's group. He shows them the helicopter, which he managed to land safely. While Juliet is treating Frank's head wound, Frank figures out that Juliet wasn't on the plane and tells Miles that she is a "native." In response Miles asks her where Ben is and tells the survivors that he was hired to find Ben.

Meanwhile, Locke and his followers are headed towards Jacob's cabin. Locke explains to the group that a taller version of Walt told him that he must stop the freighter people from finding the island at all costs. He also tells them that Ben shot him. Upon hearing this and being goaded by Ben, Sawyer thinks that they should kill Ben before he has a chance to attack them. Locke is against this because he knows that Ben has vital information regarding the island.

Eventually, Locke's group finds Charlotte, who asks the survivors several questions. When Charlotte tells them of her tracking device, Locke responds that they "don't want to be found." After seeing Frank's flare, the group argues about what to do next. Ben takes advantage of this oppurtunity to steal a gun and shoot Charlotte, however she is saved by a bulletproof vest. Locke concedes that Sawyer was right and that they should kill Ben, who offers Locke answers about the island. When Ben can't explain what the black smoke is, Locke prepares to shoot him. Ben responds by telling the group detailed personal information about Charlotte and that her mission is to find Ben. When asked how he knows this, he replies, "Because I've got a man on their boat."

Having just finished watching said episode - I can confirm - he's right! :niceone: ...though the jury is still out as to whether we'll bother to keep following the series...

Reckon the "Lost Room" that was on Prime a few months back was better.
