Chat isn't used too much on here, so here's a thing a CX500 site (http://australiancx.asn.au/forum/index.php)in Australia does ...
They have a chat box on the first page of the forums, above the forum lists.
See the picture below.

Apparently it encourages people to move their pointless drivelling into the chatbox, and leaves the forums slightly clearer.

It makes things a bit more immediate, there's a flow, just like with iSpy.

Just a thought.

Yeah, there are four options if you click Chat now, are they just different software for chatting in the same room or something?

That chat box thing only works for the dodgy flash based chat software you can get and this site used to have. But it's crap, it puts a load on the server that needn't be there and irc is a significantly better alternative. Oh and it's crap.
