I'll sell you a 96 Daewoo Cielo glx 1.5l for 2g, looks exactly like this one

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Daewoo/auction-142143022.htm?p=4

leaves a little oil on the driveway, but drives really nicely and is quite economical. All freshly warrented and regoed. I'm not mechanically minded in the slightest, so I cant promise that everythings perfect, but its been really reliable getting me from a to b. Its also got air-con, cd player etc.

downside is that the front passengers electric window is a bit slow to go up and down and needs to be helped occasionally, the electric window motor must be getting worn out.

Need to sell it so I can get another bike, and my wife wants to get a 4wd.

Why does it say 5 speed on the window, manual on the listing, but there's a picture of the interior with an auto stick?

Never mind, that's not your car :P How many km has yours got?

No more than $1500 for a banger, and up to $3000 for something that'll leave me with dignity

Late 80s, early 90s SOHC, single carb, four bangers are always a good bet. Not keen on Hondas, always feel a bit tinny, and not great over 150000k.

Would prefer a manual.

He owned an NSR, cost him a fortune so he seems to think all bikes are drains to maintain lol.

Even an FXR perhaps.

Cheap to maintain, runs on the smell of an oily rag.

Do good stoppies and wheelies.

Take forever to get through tyres.

etc etc.

EJ is selling his cheap.

Ego doesn't come into it. I'd happily ride a single cylinder thumper. Fantastic fuel economy and so forth.

It's still going to set me back 1500-2000 dollars. This bike, being an air-cooled second hand single, is likely to have about 30000km left of life in it. Resale value after this point is going to be nil.

It's not going to be as reliable as a corolla, I can't carry passengers, and I'm closer to getting my car full than my motorcycle. All consumables are going to be more expensive than the car equivalent.

Fair enough mate . Just a suggestion if you haven't already thought about it!
