From that side on angle, that looks very similar to a GSXR 600/750 headlight, or a Bandit 1200 headlight (from the faired one). Both of these headlight units look pretty cool without their respective fairings (IMHO).
Try tracking down one of those. I wouldn't expect them to be too cheap though...

no idea mate, never done it myself, I do know the nsr forks bolt onto the mc22 really easy. you will probably have to grind the stops off and re weld them back on, but thats easy. Anything can fit, its just a question of time skills and money.

Also when changing the forks on a bike, you are going to alter the rake trail settings etc etc. you might get worse handling etc etc.

Cheers does anybody no of a suspension shop in the Auckland area that specialize in this kind of thing as i dont want to go mucking around with things such as this not being able to gaurantee how the bike will be after, i have no problems doing the work my self, but as i only ever worked on cars and am not a suspension specialist i dont want to go stuffing around with something im not sure of

Front ends cost around $1500 for a good set of usd's. Generally you just make shit fit using you head. What is your current fork diameter? You can buy top yokes billet ones for about $300 but if you dont want to spend too much some dirt bike yokes fit, I have KX250 ones on my 88 gixxer with a 99 R1 front end. Buy the whole front end, forks, wheel and brakes and use the whole set up rather than trying to retro fit your current brakes and wheels.

Our headlights might seem expensive, but try and buy a factory original! $500 for the likes of an R1 plus $300 for the top fairing, so in that sence they are reasonably. They are also DOT and SAE rated so will fly through a vin.

GP Honda in tauranga have lots of parts in stock as they are quite a large wrecker.

If you sign up to the NZSF site and post a pic of your bike and your ideas you will get plenty of feedback and ideas. We also have a club attched to the site and there is a run coming up in the last weekend of march if you are keen and there are plenty of fighter pilots in Auckland 3 of which work for bike shops.

From the pics you posted you're gonna want an 04-06 R1 rear subframe and fairings and also a GSXR k4 600/750 headlight.

I'd say get on ebay while the dollar is high. Subframes are usually around $100US and if you get slightly damaged fairings they should be pretty cheap.

Would expect the GSXR headlight to be around $170-200US.

Like toebug said, try and find a complete front end if you can.

And will require the reflector to be changed to get it through a WoF.

Had no such problem with my R6 headlight unit...

You'll find these days that most motorcycle headlights are wide beam anyway... and the only difference between full beam and low beam is the vertical aspect (and lumination intensity) of the beam.

i'm gonna jump in on this one and fully bump you..i'm after an R6 tail section (2006-onwards) to chuck on my TL streetfighter project..
otherwise your plan looks pretty good, you'd probably be able to stick with an NC30/5 rear end too..and if you can find a cheap way of getting a gixxer headlight, hit me up! i really want one for my project too..got a cbr600rr headlight but its alot bigger than i want..

I have a GS1200SS Suzuki that I wasted the fairing by sliding down the motorway.

Now a discard.

Found a double set of HID lights from Aussie that are going to replace my stock versions

looking for a top yoke or some method of installing high bars rather than the clipons

The arse end and the body work are in progress and wioll be sorted as money permits.

This bike is going cosmetically to being a streetfighter then I start on the performance side of things.
