Can anybody help? I am heading down south for a few weeks over christmas and would love to get my bike down to tour central otago. Due to the fact that I have already pre booked flights (and a 1000k ride is probably a bit much in 1 day!!) does anybody know if there is a freight company that could send it down. I am imagining it will be horribly expensive, but I thought someone may know of a cheap option. Thanks all.

Look up Furniture Express they gave me a quote of $180 Auckland-Chch and thats bloody good compaired to others at $600.
I used to drive for them and know how they work, I'd have no worries with them transporting my bike.

from a local bike shop. Once the bike is crated it can be freighted via any trucking company and it is also much cheaper in the crate. My CB400 came up from the South Island in a crate for $150. Pity but I cut up the crate and disposed of it. However it should not be too hard to get one. :argh:
