Hi all, Im new to the forums, been riding a while but not really socially. Would like to change that now :) Had a wicked time at my first track day at Manfield on Monday, so so cool.

I look forward to riding with members from around the manawatu in the near future.

Here are some hot tips when riding with the Manawatu/Ashhurst/Dannevirke crew ...
Follow Cowboyz if you like mystery tours.
Follow me if you like unscheduled elongated gravel tours.
Follow GSVR if you like neurotic fast/slow/fast/slow rides (careful though, he has a case of S.P.U.D.S)
Follow NZSarge if your bike likes to have a wee rest on it's side (he has Y.A.M.S, but we don't go there....yet)
And try not to be bullied by the imposing Concours tripletts!

I ride everyday to work, have wanted an R1 forever or at least since their release in the late 90s and finally got my mits on one mid last year. Its a 2001 model but painted in a 2003 model colour scheme. Its older than most R1s around the traps but I love it to bits.

I have, however been subject to an interesting experience lately and that was a back seat on the Tail end of the Thunderide during the latest HOG rally in Palmerston Nth. Although I wouldnt have admitted it before I must now admit after riding a couple on the day I do love the feel of a good cruiser.
