Hi folks,

Am sitting here contemplating buying a bigger bike... Of course there's next to nothing going on with regards to sportsbikes on the south island...

Anyway, I've found something that looks rather interesting in the Napier area. So I was wondering if there's anyone on here who could do me the big favour of looking it over for me (it's a bit out of the way if you know what I mean...).

Cheers
Mikkel

Ummmm...you're a big boy, you don't need my permission. I'm sure with the right stimulus you can achieve the desired result.

Would love the ZX10R - but it would kill me and I've been informed by my significant other that we have a budget to adhere to. :(

Besides - still a while before I can get my full. It'll be for the track until june at least...

SV650S' are also beyond my budget I'm afraid... :(

I can't sell my 250 ccm until I've gotten my full. But in order to not take it apart I want something bigger for the track.

Yeah, they're nice enough that is for sure. Dunno if I think I'll regret only going for a 400 ccm though. Besides they're pretty old and Honda parts are known to be expensive.

Um...I think you will find Frosty is talking a VFR800, like Vifferman's which is for sale.

Hmmm, well - they aren't exactly cheaper than a SV650S now are they? ;)

Price is usually relative to what you get. I know which one I'd prefer, all things being equal.

That's true! If I had all the money I could wish for I think I'd go for a brand new Daytona 675 SE - alas, that is currently way out of the question.

I may be able to deliver to ChCH. You would have to pay all the expenses mind you.

Considering your custom title I doubt that ;p

Dunno, I fear the trader may be sorting something out right now since they are a bit slow on replying to inquiries... and they removed the buy now option earlier today.

Well, since the trade has now been finalised I can spill the beans!

Tonight I bought this (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=144028827&permanent=0) fine piece of japanese engineering. Looking forward to getting her home in the garage! :D

It'll be a while before I can take it out on the road - but it'll be a lot of fun on the track. After all that's what it was designed for!

Big thanks to MSTRS for checking it out for me and giving me the low down on the story. Finalised the deal tonight!

Anyone got some recommendations in relation to transporting it from Napier to Chch?

Waaaah, waaaaah, waaaaaah, screeeeeech, *flashing lights* "Get away Quick!", waaaah, waaaaaah.

Most trips to Christchurch go something like that.

Oh yes, nice bike! :)

Cheers!

Anyway, the owner is in Australia, the bike is in Napier and I'm in Chch... 'nuff said.

Now is the time to sort out details about payment and doing the ownership transfer papers.

$500000 seems kind of pricy for it

Check out the sellers feedback - especially their early purchases! :spanking:

Yeah, you get what you pay for I suppose - so I should be in for a treat ;)

But sniffing around other peoples older purchases can be quite funny - I wouldn't draw attention to other people's privacy though. :nono:

Yeah, I'm bloody excited. Looking forward to getting her down and going over her in depth. Get her ready for track use and then let rip!
