View Full Version : Keprotec Triumph Jeans
Anyone have any experience with Keprotec lined clothing? I'm considering buying some Triumph jeans instead of Draggin ones, and they're lined with "Keprotec" (as opposed to Draggin's 100% kevlar). I've heard plenty of good things about Draggin clothing; I'm just wondering if this Keprotec stuff is up to the same level.

I've read that keprotech, aramid and kevlar are pretty much the same thing - just registered brand names.

Keprotec is used in some good brands; Held gloves for instance. I have a pair right beside me and they have the Keprotec label but I'm buggered if I can see which part might be Keprotec...

A quick wikipedia search suggests that...
Aramid relates to a whole family of synthetic fibers.
Kevlar is a specific type/brand of a Para-Aramid
and Keprotec is presumabley just another variant

slightly off subject but what are draggin jeans like to wear? ie are they stiff? or do they feel like ordinary jeans, living in the back and beyond as i do i don't get near a bike shop that often so are can't check them out but am thinking of getting some. of course it will be an internet purchase, any suggestions?..

The only difference between them and normal jeans is that the bits lined with Kevlar are a bit thicker (but not stiff at all).

I just bought some Shift jeans off trademe...the waist size was right, I asked about the leg length (which was good enough) and they turned out sweet.
They seem to have a bit less Kevlar in them than the draggins...just the knees and arse, but they were quite a bit cheaper, and looked nicer colour/style wise.
