First Big Ride

Hi all,Took my son out to the sandpit for his first real off road ride,as he has only been down at the local park.He was a bit scared at first but after his 12th fall he was away.I took my bike down there to and it was my first time out there,have not been riding for the last 20 years,man what a challenge,was I done at the end of the day.If my son had his own way he would have just keeped on riding.I was pleased that he did not give up after his first fall.:banana::scooter:

Good one and welcome to Kiwi Biker! It would have been a little easier after this rain but it gets even easier in the winter when the sand is more packed. Its not so easy when the sand is dry and fluffy and it actually takes a lot of rain before the sand packs down some. They tend to over groom it these days which makes it even softer, but less bumpy, so you get what you get. Anyway glad you enjoyed it and keep it up. What are you riding?
Don't forget to stand in the sand as well, that might help you some.
