Thanks for all the good wishes everyone, but the weather here is actually okay today. And if it rains tomorrow, I don't really care... because we'll be in Sydney! It's my birthday today and our third wedding anniversary on Wednesday, so when a friend from Norway said she'd be in Sydney with her husband until March 11, we decided 'what the hell' and booked the trip! It's her birthday on Wednesday too, so we should have quite a party going.
All I have to do now is pack - ugh!
The moggies say hi to the up-norf cuzzies, Planna!

Yes!!! And it was FREE cake! Andy took me out for lunch and while ordering we were perusing the cakes on offer and I said I would definitely be having cake as it was my birthday. As we were finishing our lunch and deciding what we would order, the waitress turned up with a piece of carrot cake and a dollop of whipped cream with a lit candle in it! The English tourists at the next table were most impressed and asked if they had to sing! (We declined!)
So all in all, it hasn't been a bad birthday at all. I'm just not looking forward to the packing now... but I am looking forward to shopping for a compact digital camera, new sunnies, new shoes, new clothes...:woohoo:

I did take knickers, you'll be glad to know! Got some nice stuff over in Sydney but not clothes - didn't really see anything I liked or felt was worth the money. Loved seeing a Prada teeshirt (yes, teeshirt!) reduced TO $699! Yeah, right!
I did buy three pair of gorgeous Italian shoes though - ouch goes the credit card... and Andy did pick up a pair of (also Italian!) motocross boots for $199 so he was happy, even if it did make his suitcase as heavy as hell on the way back!
