Hi all,
Need some advice please...I'm looking at buying a new (used) car, how do I find out if there's money owning on it?
Cheers

Thanks....but $30! Seems a bit steep, probably better than having the car repossessed though I guess.

Please, don't stop and consider that they actually biffed the price up $10 since last year... Well, I guess they have to match inflation

Buy my car. I've got a VIR I'll throw in for free.

Be careful with this. The information is sometimes incorrect.

www.lemoncheck.co.nz (http://www.lemoncheck.co.nz) is cheaper, $20 if you know someone who is a AA member or even yourself.
I find their format way better than VIR's.

I suppose that'll cover motorcycles as well? :)
Perhaps you should add it to the service directory.

Have a mate who texted his own rego and his parents' too. Parents came back with money owing (none), and his came back clean (owed $6K at the time). It's the one coming back clean that I'd have issues with. Certainly a good start, but if you are serious about the car and buying privately, I'd stump up the $30.

Was thinking of suggesting that, but didn't want to put you on the spot (wasn't sure what sort of cost is involved in your link. Annual subscription or per use charge).

Then sell then for a 6 pack per VIR. Done and done.
