Where to buy Avon Storms in Auckland?

Sorry in advance, this is a post that I already made in the tyre forum, but I wasn't sure how many people checked there, it has just sprung on me that I may be going to the coro this weekend. So getting new tyres is priority #1!

So yeah, as title says, where do I get a pair of Avon Storms for my Blackbird in Auckland? Kerry from Motohaus isn't entirely sure on when he'll get his next batch in and I've been told Haldanes may stock them (I'll ring and find out tomorrow). But apart from that I've come to a dead end.

Any help appreciated, even infactions for spamming in two threads.

By the time I had finished it was after work hours but I also found nothing on their site, they had all the usuals but no Avon :( Will ring them tomorrow if I can't find anything else/Motohaus still have nothing.

Motohaus specialises in Avons - they're the main dealer in D'Auckland. WTF?!?

Kerry said they're bringing in a new batch, but is unsure of just when they will get here, today is possible though. I just want to cover all my bases so I can get them properly scrubbed in and ready for the weekend!

Just checked online and the Avon importer has stock of the Storms in all sizes. Therefore any shop that has an account with Dold Industries should be able to supply them for you.

I gave Haldanes a call and they do indeed do Avons, however don't have Avon Storms in stock either :(

It can take up to 3 days to courier from one side of auckland to the other thanks to the traffic.

Just got off the phone with Kerry, Avon's will definitely be there for me tomorrow morning to snap up a pair.

I'd still keep asking around if I was you! I've had the 'yeah, they'll be here in the morning for you' story before.. even getting the rival company to get some in for me 'just in case' and next morning..... Yep! You guessed it!! NOTHING!!!!! Up shit creek, high & dry!!! with 'Oh, we're sorry about that!'

Haldanes are coming back with availability time and a price, but I'm confident with Kerry. He hasn't done me wrong and has always gone the extra mile so I give him the 'benefit of doubt' hehe.

Just for reference if anyone else is looking at getting some Avon Storms or Avon tyres;

Haldanes got back to me, their other tyre prices were very reasonable but 180/55 120/55 set of Avon Storms were $690!!! Over at Motohaus on the other had, they are $540 for a set. Presuming Kerry still does KB discounts it should be a little lower too.
