Nothing like riding your bike after a lengthly amount of time off it eh! even if it is in pouring rain ;)

Rain is OK if you are having fun. I went out 3 times today when the I thought the showers had stopped, only to get caught in the rain and got wet 3 times (did not wear my Cordura pants). Never mind - still felt great to be on the bike!
Enjoy your new bike Rachprice - and be careful of the painted road lines when its wet.

Nice jacket. Fits well... :D
Rachprice, I cannot recall if you are new to bikes, i.e., inexperienced, but if you are I think most of us here on KB - if we are truthful - will tell you that it is really EASY to make :weep: mistakes, some of which can be painfullybad mistakes. So go out and PRACTICE braking, cornering, swerving, etc. Its best to study medical science as a med student, not as a hospital patient! :doctor:

Yeah thats not me, but it will arrive tomorrow but don't even get to use it cos we are heading to wildfoods (+ i get to do a skydive in wanaka WHOOOOO)
Yeah very new and very inexperienced! So yeah i think it will be a while before i will be out on big rides and such. Although everytime i go i feel a little better (however minute!).
I agree about the practice I have never broken a bone and dont intend on doing so, plus my hands are my career! Even when you are experienced i think it is still everyone else you have to worry about!

I took my bike/engine in on Janurary 14th to be fixed, I've since been married and moved city and my bike is still waiting to be put together :(
I've kinda gotten over the withdrawls now. But these kick ass roads around Waitati are begging to be thrashed. Soon... very soon
Congrats on the purchases, have fun.
