If I felt ready for a zx10r I'd go for it - finances allowing.

I'm just sitting here wondering why you're in such a hurry to see it off - I'd expect it to be a bloody nice bike to ride and all.

Would be a bloody shame to strip it though!

WTF. How can a nearly new ZX10r NOT sell at this price. I just don't get it. Did you remove the engine or something? Even if it is a damaged bike put back on the road it is worth more than that. I just don't get it.

If I was not made redundant this last week, I would more than happily take it off your hands. With a huge smile on my face.

It's because it's too cheap people think there must be something wrong with it, selling it as parts? how stupid to strip a perfectly good bike.

it's cheap as hell if i had that kind of money i would have it right now, but alas i do not.

Buyer psychology, if it's cheap something is wrong with it. Put it back to normal price it will sell. :) I see a lot of expensive bikes sell all the time. Red Baron is an example, hey they are still in business aye.

I am struggling to comprehend some of the awesome big bike deals out there. It's a shame that you can't arrange finance for potential purchasers Quasi. That is so much bike for not much.

No, its was a few weeks at $15,000, no interest, then a few weeks at $14500 no interest, then two weeks at $13995 no interest, so $12995 and no one yet has knock on my door with cash yet eh.

Market price IS what the market will pay, it is never what you think you will get for it or want to get for it.

The market Price for this bike must be $12995

In saying that my tool box is ready to go and ebay is loaded on the puter in the spare parts page

Fuck, that's crazy cheap Quasi.

I'd be all over it like a rash if I could. Unfortunately, I have a Commodore no-one wants and the bank is currently giving me a reaming

Why don't you chuck it on TM as an auction with $1 reserve?

If you're going to be perverse at least have the common decency to make a video on the subject!

I guess there'd be buyers for bike snuff out there as well ;)

It's perverse and obscene... I usually would cherish the thought, but in this case I do find it a bit unsettling.

Now, if it wasn't a Kawasaki I'd be all for it...

Someone asked me the other day what my bandit was worth , I said nothing really, but I like it ! G.

Quasi, if the market was to determine the price then why not a $1 reserve and see how much it fetches. I promise I'll bid to bump.

Try local dealers as suggested, I had a mint ZXR250 and about 3 dealers offered to buy it off me but the price offered was a bit low.

Another thing you could try is, selling it in the Auzzie market, much bigger. Say if you sold it for NZ 13,000 then it would be somwhere around AUS 12,000 add shipping and insurance of AUS 1,000 some Auzzie bloke will have a mint ZX10 at AUZ 13,000 which is cheap.Check out their market prices here :

Brand new ZX10's are going for $13995 over there...

The Pastor
6th March 2008, 09:42
yeah $1 reserve it, if it goes below what you can sell it for, im sure somone on here will "buy" it off you (and give it straight back). I very much doubt you'd get less than 13k for it on $1 reserve.

I get the feeling sad part... they're supposed to be really nice bikes (if a bit light in the front end :msn-wink:). And I can't help but wonder what you're getting in its stead!

Unreal or not, 7 weeks is a long time so if you wanted it gone I also understand why you're happy about it.
