You can modify anything.

What are you thinking of doing to it?

It depends on exactly what you want to do to it..

Most people don't bother a whole lot with massive performance mods with bikes in the same way as people modify cars because you can already just buy a 600-1000 sportsbike that is warpspeed fast. So fast you can never even really unleash it to its full potential on the road.

A nice 'zorst and rejetting the carb to suit would possibly net a wee bit in power and give you a nice sound.

On my GSX I lopped off the pipe after where the headers join together and added a freeflow muffler and pipe to make a total length of 1145mm (i think - tried a few different lengths) 1 -2 main jet sizes up and 2 slots richer on the needles. that got an extra 4 or so KPH top speed measured (on different days) at the sprints.

Also went up one tooth on the front sprocket, better for cruising, top speed and acceleration on a GSX!

If that was all dutch to you go to you local library and start reading!

Does modding a bike invalidate your insurance like it does with cars?

Would a new zorst be enough to invalidate it you reckon?
