smash out the glass and use the shell as your base frame to build onto using sand bags wood and other materials in the surrounding areas.

Got 5 soldiers on my course this week. All agree, there is no way to make a bomb shelter out of it.
My suggestion, use the other warm bodies in there with you as human shields.

I guess it depends how long you've got (not always an option in most cases), and what resources. With enough cement and reinforcing I could turn a post box in to a bomb shelter.

park a honda inside it, they wont bother attacking it incase the honda thinks it's being hit on.

I guess it depends how long you've got (not always an option in most cases), and what resources. With enough cement and reinforcing I could turn a post box in to a bomb shelter.

But with out a resource and/or building consent council could turn up and tell you to removeit or spend the next few years trying to get retrospective permits. Got a funny feeling it may be to late by that stage, and if its not, well you really need to ask if it wa needed in the fist place!!
