A huge “Well done” to Bob Stake of the Strong Survive Derbyshire Motorbike Club. When he heard about 15 year old Katie Taylor, who is suffering from cancer in her leg, hip, shoulder, spine, head and lungs, he was only too happy to come to her assistance.

Katie had wanted to own her own Harley-Davidson since she was a child. Sadly now in a wheelchair from her illness, it seemed unlikely that she would get her dream to ride a Harley fulfilled – until Mr Stake heard of her wish via the local newspaper.

He contacted Katie’s parents and will be taking Katie out for a ride. He said "I'd be happy to help. I will probably take a day off work and we might even be able to wing it to get some other bikers along as well."

Bob , reckon you should look up the ulysses club , we do alot of cancer rides alot to we take young kid's with cancer out for rides too ,an many of them are in wheelchair's , and the biggest kick is when they ask ya to catch up with another rider ,so they can wave and try an chatter to their friend on the other bike , wicked mate, and the down side is leaving them afterward's and knowing many of these little but big hearted children we'll never see next year cause some don't make it, some do .....

Do you have to be an old fart on a Harley to join the Ulysses club? That sounds pretty fulfilling.
