I am heading to France tomorrow on a bike but am still suffering from whiplash after car crash. Can anyone give any advice on how to support my neck whilst wearing a helmet? Don't want to aggrevate whiplash further.

Uh, nothing that wouldn't compromise your safety.
It's important that you recover from whiplash properly and wearing a helmet doesn't seem to be a good thing to be doing...

I can't take the train as I am going with fellow bikers. Trip has been booked and paid for.

you could try a motocross neck brace, but at the end of the day you are still going to have a couple of extra kilos bouncing around on the top of your neck, which will do wonders for your whiplash.

There are things available, espcially for off-road but i think the function is more to movement of the head to the extremem positions. It won't do much for the jerking acceleration and gear changes.
Especially if u pillion....
I say take the train also. Back/neck injuries can easily become life long issues.
What advice would you give to a patient?

Yep. Bout 20% of whiplash patients go on to have neck and upper back problems for the rest of their life.
I guess if you're pillioning you could wear some kind of neck brace. Would suck when you're trying to look around though.

one of these would be ideal, just find one that goes over your helmet

Luckily I am not doing a long journey. I was thinking that lots of thick scarves might help and will provide some support. I have not done anything to aggrevate for the last couple of weeks, as much as it has pained me not to be hooning round on bikes.

you could look at the motocross type neck braces, or even the neck collars,

I would stay at home or take the train. I had whiplash from a car accident 10 years ago and still suffer from extreme neck pain now. Neck braces don't help at all, especially if you are wearing a heavy helmet that is putting pressure on your neck. However, if you take the risk prepare to suffer the consequences should there be any.

This is a mini bike trip nothing major and I am not riding!! We compromised re the other situation. Hopefully coming back unscathed from this trip will just recofirm what she already knows about me and bikes.

Manages to get through weekend and using two massive and very thick scarves helped to support my helmet so that I wasn't in too much pain. Even the gain force wind and torrential rain couldn't put a dampner on the trip.

I would listen to this advice, if you really want to be with you mates in France so much organize a different mode of transport otherwise right it off and do the next trip, there's always another trip just around the corner so to speak...
My brother is suffering neck pain from a Jetski accident a while back and he's in a fair amount of pain and been off work for nearly 2 months now and possibly quite a bit longer. Don't mess with the recovery or you neck or spine or you may life to regret it, what seems to be a small deal now may come back to bite you in the arse later on, just ask my brother, he only felt a small niggle every now and then but it's really become a major problem.
