one of my jobs today is to install a rekluse clutch in my wr450. There are some torx head screws that need torquing to 14in-lbs or 1.17 ft-lbs.

Locally I can only find a 3/8" drive torque wrench that goes down to 5ft-lbs. Have any of you guys seen one that does go down to 1 ft-lbs? if so where did you get it.

I'm tempted to use the patented 'hand' torque wrench along with loctite.

What do you guys recommend for a general bike use torque wrench (I've already got a 1/2" drive on for all the really big stuff.

1/4in drive torque wrench :niceone: SK Wayne, M&W, etc snapshaft torque wrenches. Perfect for those wee jobs

You can get 1/4 drive torque wrenches that register in inch/lbs but they tend to be rather expensive if you only want one for one job.

Try giving Sulco call on 0800 800488. Sarge works for them so you may be able to PM him.

apparently they are very fine threads which reduces the chance of them coming loose and they specify/supply some 243 Loctite which seriously glues them in.

I did'nt get started on this today as it took more time than expected installing radiator guards, fitting new chain and sprockets, ripping all the road gear off, installing yz fender etc etc etc etc.

If the weathers bad I'll do it tomorrow, if the weathers good I'm going riding.....

Teng tools do a 1/4'' one that goes down to 0 Ft/lbs and max 15 plus you'll need a 1/4'' drive bit collet and some torx bits.

well the weather was good so I went riding.

And one of the guys I rode with has a 1/4" torque wrench so I will borrow that to install the rekluse.
