Me and my mate got out, scorcher of a day.

Had a lovely ride to Kaiaua for some fish and chips.. Not too many other riders out tho! Maybe I was just going too slow.

70 Acres of Vineyard to wrap around scaring birds!
I totally enjoyed every minite of the 115 k's I clocked up

Does this (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?p=1464989) cover it?

Was lovely out there today apart from the 4x4 half way on my side of the road and the prick who pulled out on SH16 leaving me barely enough time to slow and avoid the rear of his car.

Well worth it though :sunny:

Gorgeous day for riding in the Eastern Bay of Plenty! Except for the stupid woman in a red flatdeck ute who only had one brake light working and couldn't be bothered indicating and decided to stop in the middle of the road in front of me!! Avoided that and off into the sunshine! :woohoo: I'm really getting the hang of this...

Sorry you had to work but!

Its a huge yearly even hosted by your tax money....all the pacific islands have areas designated and perform promote their island and everyone eats heaps. Great event I just hate crowds and woulda rather been riding. There was thousands of people........it a cultural ethnic celebration

you are so uncultural and ethnically challanged lol

I am too and only went really cause my friend came up from CHCH to perform and stayed with me..........havent seen her for a year...so pretty rude to say ummm my bad I gotta go ride. However I have made plans for her to do tomorrow which will allow me to ride.............yahhhhhh

Botony bp.....10am

oh and next week is polyfest where all the pacifics compete in cultural performances. Its a great event also and the performers really train hard for it which is great cause it keeps our youngsters off the streets. Plus most ethnicitys culturaly promote self respect and good things so its worthwhile and we should support it. I will if theres no coro-loop rides :)

Anyway, yeah great day for it, after riding to Wellington at 6am on Friday & getting home 18 hours later (bout 900km's all up) went out for a blast with the lads to the Awakino pub for a cold one, fantastic day here in the Naki too :sunny:

Hi Steve

Was at Coro from Weds until today (Sun). Went out on the Mussel Barge on Friday and we all got our bag limit of snapper - magic day! Sadly, was in the car but you can't have everything. Less than 4 weeks to semi-retirement and we'll be up there full-time as soon as we sell our Tokoroa property.

Cheers,

Geoff

CB, Steam, Nighthawk and I had a nice pootle from Naseby - Omakau (for brekky)- Alexandra (stopped @ Jantars on the way through) and then on to Riviera of the South.

A great ride although it was a tad 'breezy' at times, but hey any ride that gets you home is a good ride..

you'll have your day in the sun. :soon: i can't wait to try out the coro loop for the FIRST time, hears its a goodie.

My advice is to line up a sweet weekend cafe to work, get out of the city to spend the day making sweet coffee, meeting cool people, and checking out the surf, then ride back the 'senic' route (thats pronounced "root" for all you 'american-english' speakers). Which is many ks of tight, little used country back roads, filled with ever so many yummy twisties:headbang:... sigh* im there...

// trust me theres a way to have a fun weekend working. Im living it, hope you can find a way to mate! :niceone:

well I managed a blat over the Kiamias to Tauranga, then took the scenic route through Te Puke to Rotorua and back over the mamakus to the waikato today. Lovely day for riding, great scenery from the top of the Kiamias looking back over Waikato. Damn I love going up the wiakato side of the Kiamias gotta be careful there though.

Don't worry. The wardens in here are quite reasonable and the food isn't too bad...
There is a spare cell down the corridor. Would you like me to get the guard to put a "reserved" sign on the door for you?
