A motorcyclist was today found guilty of killing three people after racing his friend down a busy A-road in “a course of madness“.
Martin Gardner, 25, was playing “cat and mouse” with his friend Jonathan Smart on the A38between Dursley and Cambridge, Gloucester, when Smart crashing into a Rover, killing himself and the occupants of the car.
Jailing Gardner for six years, Judge Jamie Tabor said this was one of the worst death by dangerous driving cases he had come across and the results had traumatised the victims’ family. Gardner was also
