Earlier this week I travelled from Hamilton to Rotorua via Whitehall,French Pass, Taotaoroa and Okoroire.
I expected the surfaces to have turned to crap,as I was still in NZ after all.
But to my surprise most of the roads were still billiard table smooth.
A very enjoyable ride.

Yip me and the missus have spent many a hour cruzing round the south wiakato back roads.Some of the nicest roads around.Keep it quiet please we normally have them all to ourselves :)

Hm.I haven't been that route. I've been through Kiwitahi, Matai and Richmond Downs. Those are good roads, too. Last time I saw 3 cars in 3 hours. I'll give those further west a try next time. Thanks.

sure are great roades,just be aware of cow doodoos and tractors.
