Ha cheers mate ,ive now taken ownership of her :devil2: (he sold it to me in trade for my cage, something about motorbikes and winter that didnt appeal to him lol) and since i didn't win lotto either, i thought it best to pass her on to someone that would use her more ,as i dont think i could handle the pressure of having to pick which bike to ride

Prefer my good ol Katana anyways

these are good for wheelies if you can get the gearbox to let you change up through it..
pop it up from 4 1/2 thou rpm in first, then go through the box as balance sees fit!

yeah i know i wouldn't regret it, but our tents to big to strap on the bike.
so would need a trailer on the bike.
the thoughts entered my mind tho.

wooohooo,that was fun,:2thumbsup
Good to meet you Chris and Rob.
hope your dad got home safely and enjoyed
the trip. I sure as hell did.

There is certainly a big difference between bikes.
shit and i thought the sportys seat was hard, the netts is 100x worse
had to stop afta 100k's for a coffee and a sit down on something more
comfy like a wooden bench.lol.

I didn't want to come home, i felt like carrying on to Whangarei or further.

Yea!!! that sporty is exactly what i was looking for :devil2: runs on the smell of an oilly rag only cost about $15 to get back  and no sore arse at the end here, those highway pegs are awesome aren't they! was surprised how easy it was to get down the para paras on it too really easy to go round corners at decent speeds .

Chris wanted to take the reins half way in but i didn't want to get off it.

Am already planning what mods and bits and pieces to put on it!!

And we actually fixed that paint on the tank up too, used a cutter on it then polished it up and its now looking primo ,got it looking fairly close to the stock black paint on the oil tank too.

 See why we were saying that it was a long way (we were referring to the hard hornet seat lol)

nallac
14th April 2008, 07:53
i'm glad about the tank.

you shouldve left the solo seat on it was alot more comfy than the hornets seat.
yip for an old dinosaur they go quite well.

let the modding begin.lol..
dont spend too much time on the xl forum or you'll be broke..

yea we actually thought the same thing about the solo seat (its like rideing on a lazyboy compared to the hornet) and we put it on yesterday ,it really just makes it .

You have any plans for the hornet yet? ...buell lights by chance ?

nallac
14th April 2008, 08:25
i'd love the buell lights, but that'll have to wait a while.

i'm gonna do a chop job on the #plate holder tonight at work.
probaly spray a few things black like rad guard and side plates,
handle bars.

smaller indicaters in the plan to........
after all its only money.

main plan is to ride it lots.

Yea number plate chop needed to be done long ago i think . i actually think we have a tail tidy that came with the GPR exhausts somewhere ,we didnt put it on becuase you needed smaller indicators.

And if you want more power you could always get a power commander  that was meant to be the next thing on the list bescause it works with the exhausts you got on there and adds another 5-10hp i think.but once you get the original sprocket youll probably notice a bit of difference in acceleration as the one on now lowers it slightly, but gave it slightly more top speed.

Id go for the buel indicators (they are slightly smaller and have a darker look but not too small.) .

i will definatly try the 16 tooth sprocket.dont really need the xtra top end
if i want to keep my license:nono:

PC would be good also, will be hard to get the ok for one from the wife tho
