Hey everyone,
Well my Dad had a good trip up from wellington and i now have my dream bike in my garage.... Big thank you to Jimmy (White Trash) for getting the bike and organising everything....
Big sorry to those who came to Wellington Motorcycles to see me, i couldnt make it as i was called into work.... Also a big sorry to the Christmas party, the weather was absolutely shite and i didnt want to risk taking the K5 along (i also have work at 5am tomoro  )
My Dad was very impressed with the bike, and actually found it a comfortable bike to ride (except the hard seat). Handling wise he said it was beautiful and extremely smooth and well mannered. Engine is extremely flexible with alot of torque from 3000rpm and up, sitting at 110kmh in 6th gear it is doing 6000rpm, and with a small twist of the wrist or a drop of one gear, quickly and effortlessly passed the cage that was once infront of you...
Ofcourse i had to take it for a ride, but then i didnt want to, but in the end i did... I am simply amazed, I BELIEVE THIS TO BE THE PERFECT BIKE!!!! I cant wipe the smile off my face, i am so happy.... The bike is extremely flickable and very well balanced as well as very smooth. The suspension is perfect for the road, just firm enough to be sporty, but not as firm as my ZXR400 to bounce you off the seat on every pebble on the road... Gearbox is as smooth as silk, as is the engine. The engine pulls from anywhere, i found myself changing at 5-6000rpm and that was plenty of revs to see the legal speed limit (on the motorway that is) things really start to happen at 7000rpm, and i cant wait to take it above 9000rpm (where the powerband starts) after its first service. Havnt tested the brakes or handling alot (as it is pissing down with rain) but first impressions tell me that they are going to be awesome as well...
Ive got a couple of crappy photos there with the GSX-R and ZXR. I will get some better photos later, with all 3 of my bikes there. As you can see i have set up the couch right infront of the GSX-R so i can just look at it, i probably will never ride it again as all i want to do is look at it and drool and admire.....
Cheers everyone :)

Ah, bless your little cotton socks. But it is not right for a motorbike to lie idle for then it rebels mightily - go forth and conquer this beast, then set up your computer by the couch facing the bike so you can wax lyrically to your fellow KBers whilst casting adoring glances at the object of your desire. :love2:

Congratulations TwoSmoker you deserve to be on cloud nine and buzzing with pride. Top stuff.
Whitetrash pointed your Father out to me as he headed off out the door on the new beast. Hope you get some fine days in soon to get to know your new best friend. Don't over cook it now until you get to know each other! :2thumbsup

Once again thanks everyone :niceone: :) I took it for a bit of a ride today, but the majority of the roads were wet :( but there was some dry parts, hence having no chicken strips on the rear and and about 5 mm to go on the front (give me a dry day and no wind with full engine power and they wont last long :shifty: )
Have got over 800km on the odo so i can now rev it too 11000rpm (201kmh in 6th gear...... well thats what i heard it was....)
HANDLING IS AWESOME AND STABLE!!! engine is extremely flexible with torque everywhere (im sure someone has put a v-twin in there :shifty:)
I am stoked, people have been coming upto me asking about my bike, people (read girls) have been waving at me, and it wasnt my mum or my sister either :shit: lol...
Now i need a yoshi pipe to make her sweet engine sound like her sweet induction......
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RIDING A GSX-R600 you will be blown away......

very nice bike TS. If I was in the position to do so (buying a house soon) I would be seriously looking at the '05 750. Local Suzuki dealer has been trying to tempt me into an '04 but so far I've resisted. But a man can only take so much...

So far I've put a huuger on, some crash bungs and a yoshi RS3. Next up, race fairings......no must learn to race first on RGV...

Yeah mate, love it... should be in Wellington with Bruce and MR in the new year.... Ive got alot of work to beat your photo mate, not too many corners that smooth and with that nice camber around...
Yep Guy, that sounds good... Mine is bog standard at the mo, but am looking at a Yoshi TRS coz i like the angles, and i reakon it will match the bikes mean angles (but need the $$$)... What kind of crash bungs did you get, and where from? I will be at Taupo (hopefully in F3) so we can have a yarn then :niceone:

No worries TS. When you are down this way give me a shout and I'll grab the camera and we can go to the same corner. It's about 10 mins from my house. Failing that there's always the track.

Yep i really need crash bungs... but i want to see what everyone has on offer.... although the F1 Engineering one sounds good.... So where did everyone get their crash bungs and how much did they cost????

6th December 2004, 19:09
All up about $70. But they need flush mounts and i know on CK's bike the fram is angled with the bolt hole level ..... so even with ones that "should have" fit we had to do some filing. If you can get some for $125 that is a bloody good deal, most professional ones start from the $170 mark :bash:
