After a conversation with a KBer new to bikes its just been rammed home that some of us older guys need to be helping you guys out with basic setups and oil changes and stuff .
His comment that he diddn't know good from bad scared the shit outa me.
AS of Now My gargre is open to ANY KB member I'll check ya bike over and suggest to ya anything that glaringly NEEDS to be done.
I ain't gonna stamp on the toes of the guys that do this stuff for a living but the workshop mechanics will assume (and quite rightly) that you like your brake lever dangling down there or the clutch cable is loose cos you like it that way.
Ya won't get me doin tuneups for ya or changing ya oil -But I show you how to change it and you can use my tools amd ill tell ya if I think it needs doing.
I will make sure the bike is setup as I think it should be.
Basicly I just want you newbees to be as safe as ya can be out there.
I hope --HINT HINT that perhaps the more experienced guys in other areas will offer the same

I'm willing to help out the young fella's too.
My shed looks like Iraq at the moment, but if you can find a spot big enough to fit yer bike in,I'll help you out.I'm not really into doing the work, but I'll keep an eye on you and tell yer how to do it when yer stumped or I spot you doing something wrong.....
I'm also a pretty busy person,so i'm not always around, but if you're flexible and gimme a holler I'm sure we can sort something out......
Good on ya frosty! :Punk:

We on Southernrider already do that. Even bi-weekly maintenance evenings with a BBQ, a resident plastic welder and everything!:first:
