My 2007 Fireblade, or what's left of it, is up on TradeMe was one of Star's $1 reserve auctions:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Dual-purpose/auction-145571143.htm

Bidding's up to $3620 so far, which would be a bargain for a 1000cc race bike.

I didn't do anything to it. My father, on the other hand, decided to have a small lie-down during a track day at Pukekohe. the bike hasn't been properly assessed, but this is what I reckon is wrong with it:

Every fairing panel apart from the belly pan wrecked.
Screen wrecked
LH handle bar bent
LH switch gear broken
Clutch master cylinder broken
Front fairing bracket broken
LH pillion peg broken
RH rearset bent and peg broken
Indicators broken on both sides
Rear subframe bent (but not tweaked - I reckon it should straighten OK)
Battery cage broken (!)
Swingarm scuffed but not bent (as far as I can tell)
LH axle block bent
Pillion seat scuffed
ClearAlternatives tail light has had mounting lug snapped offOn the plus side:

Both headlight units seemingly intact
Instrument panel seemingly intact and workingOnce the rear subframe's straightened, it should get a cert just fine. Or, just turn it into a race bike. I do have a very nice set of Lightech rearsets, plus a few small OEM things like the mirrors, gas cap, screen, exhaust, tail light, rear indicators and tail spade unit.

If I knew I was going to be staying in NZ, then I'd be tempted myself.
