View Full Version : Rode the wheel off the MV
Finn

Literally. Riding along and SNAP... major wobble from the rear. Thought it was a blowout so had a look which shifted my weight and made the back wheel point in a different direction. Kinda like rear wheel steering. Slammed on the front anchors (obviously) to get the rear up and ended up stopping in the middle of the road.
Dunno what's wrong yet but given the angle I'd say it's more than the bearings.
Down to one bike now which is great considering I'm off to Gisborne this Easter weekend. Will be interesting on the Street Magic but should be quite economical.

The only recall I know of was the rear rim. I got called to say there's a new one waiting... with a brand new tire too.

Yeah, I had a rather vigorous ride to Raglan on Saturday and a speeding ticket Sunday. It happened on a normally busy road with hardly any traffic. The worse thing is a friend has just called to lend me his bike for the weekend to Gisborne... a K7 Gixxer thou. Oh the humanity!

Oh the humanity! As long as the steering head stays attached to the frame you should be ok then.

And now you will just need to wait for the next ice age to come and go and the new parts will show up.

I'm only 82kg's and most of that is muscle. 5% body fat but a great portion of that is my manhood.
Sucks being bikeless. Only 2 weeks before the Harley gets here though and for all you MV knockers, the parts are in stock.

Are you implying that your penis is composed of adipose rather than erectile tissue?

Only 2 weeks before the Harley gets here though.
Now, you need to try and organise things so that the MV and Harley don't break down at the same time. Perhaps ride one for a week, have a couple of weeks break, then ride the other, etc etc?
