:devil2:After prepping the bike as we all do before a trip....it was time to hit the road, leaving on time to beat the rush hour traffric of the Pohangina valley,we made it to Wellington for the sunday 3am bluebridge sailing to find out my booking had been canccelled(WTF I work for them) well we made it to picton and even bet the sun there so we chilled for daybreak and hit the Queen Charlette Drive out to havelock then onto nelson and Appleby, the roads where great and I must admit the drivers where rather considerate towards motorcyclist........

once at our destination I was introduce to the inlaws too be even Nana was there:chase: it was decided to go to the Mapua fair...now this place has a reputation of being some nudist place(not the fair just Mapua) so it was Phoebe NO YOU CAN'T go in the Nude:rolleyes: but after a day and a nite with the inlaws I was getting itchy feet as the tyers were getting cold and FYI the inlaws were great

Now it was Monday and the plan was Takaka hill have heard alot about it so it had to be done and done it was totally loved the step climb and twisties while stopped in a layby too bikes went past and the all time favourite phrase of lets play catch up was flowing through my ears and thats exactly what we did........we found the hill so easy to get a flow going and the bike stuck to it like if it had done it 1000 times before not bad for the first ride over it and I totally reccomend it to all

we stopped in at a nice little pub in Takaka and the barmaid was saying there was a group of bikers in the day before who hated it and dredded the ride back over (guess twisties are'nt for everyone) but we headed back over with total excitement and totally nailed that hill for the second time with huge bloody smiles and a :devil2:look in the eye yeah we were happy

now it was of to tennyson inlet to catch up with the meanies who had traded two wheels for a boat so of out of Nelson and over the hill to Rai valley still having excellent weather, drivers and roads we found our zone once again heading out to tennyson the road was narrow and very twistie in the hills still totally enjoying the ride and the coming around a blind right hander only to see a fat ass 4x4 pulling a fat ass boat on our side of the road :pinch:I think he shitted himself more than Phoebe considering as it appeared that our only option was the bullbar of that 4x4 or the tree covered cliff buit some where somehow I found the gap and we made it through still enjoying the ride and getting to the meanies pad to be told they could hear the bvike comming thru the hills

On Tuesday we went fishing and had a Awesome day out catching our Quota and seeing 100's of dolphins and meanie even let Phoebe drive the boat on the way back and it was obivous that she wasn't use to going in a straight line Meanie reackons its because she has been on the back of my the bike too long :devil2:nothing wrong with that

All in all it was a great trip and the wrost part was leaving the roads of the south and getting on the ferry north ....................

Mate as the nike add says"just do it" followed by the visa add "don't leave home without it,"seriously thinking of going down south by bike next year, either top of island Chch to Westport and up,or fly to Chch and grab rental bike to do bottom half, decisions, decisions.

Had a few good laughs with Phoebe and her desire to get as far away from the wriggling fish as possable even if it meant climbing onto the dash of the boat
