View Full Version : Calling all Guzzi Owners -Photo of a RS Daytona "V" or V10 Centaurio

Hi this is quite embarrassing asking this question here.
Im wondering if anyone has a RS Daytona or a V10 Centauro in bits, basically so I could ask for a front-on unimpeded photo of the "V" itself without the forks and tyres in the way.
Im having a headstone sculptered out of stone, and the details need to be fairly defined...
Motoguzzi NZ have apparently been informed according to Mt Maunganui's Strada..and MotoKiwi have been fantastic with a workshop manual photo, and the RS Daytona Brochure, but the sculpturer has asked for a little more detail than I have..I have used the guzzi books on the bookshelf and theres nothing more I could offer apart from a Daytona Prototype.
Motokiwi have advised that the V10 has the same engine, so in that case my options open up more.
So if anyone is in the position to take a photo, Id appreciate that alot.

Think she is looking for a front view of the engine barrels. Basically out of the frame, I think.
Try a google image search

Oh wow thanks Mully, lol at the one prepared earlier, I googled solidy for a few days, wrote to Aus Guzzi and emailed a few kiwi guzzi dealers, tricky business... you got it tho, just the V out of the frame, the rocket covers are the things that define it from other V twins (man I miss that sound!) four valve configuration etc.
Its going to be in 3d front profile, the sculpturer is based in Waihi and his work is so beautifull when I saw his work I thought I was going to cry!!! (No hes not paying me to say this...ahem..
Wow, that last one looks pretty good..we got a few with the rocket covers on, think the sculpturer wants to see the fronton detail around the fins.
Cheers, if you all find anymore, please let me know, much appreciated

Have you tried writing to the Guzzi factory? I would suspect they would have technical drawings of exactly what you want.
If you explain what you want it for, they will probably help. They could certainly sanitize any tech drawings before sending them if they have commercially sensitive stuff on them (unlikely, I would have thought).
Or Moto Kiwi on Waiheke?? He may have an engine he can photograph.

Yep, Pete @ Motokiwi has been fantastic, he sent quite a bit over, and my local Strada has contacted Motoguzzi NZ, I thought about going straight to Motoguzzi Italia but my italian is not that great...I guess its worth a try. Theyd have it all you'd think, just pm'ed Dangerous too..cheers

I'd be very surprised if MG Italy's marketing department didn't speak English.

Oh mate that would be wicked! just bangon front on would be the business if poss, most front on V piccies seem to be on an angle, cheers
Mully, good point, lol I really couldnt imagine trying to weasel my way with the three italian words I know, none of them appropriate lol.
Thanks

Don't get too excited about Sensei's offer, it's not an RS, it's a pre 97 Daytona sorry.

Nah not yet, have been a bit busy with things, Dangerous emailed me with some good pics, and Im waiting on a few more to come...I see what turns up and go from there, Im pretty sure that what the Sculpturer has now will be fairly helpful, but theres always room for more detail. Hes pretty good as far as doing his research and hes a rider as well...good stuff:clap:
