Just put a brand new 07 GSX-R600 in the garage and big thanks to Pete at WMC and Tim at John Baker Insurance for coming up with the goods.
Many thanks to Pete, Dave at Motomart and Stu at TSS for putting up with my requests for test-rides and silly questions. While I still love my V-twins, and it took a very good bike to pull me away from the Italian bike that I've always wanted, it came down to ease of ride, practicality, purchase price and maintenance costs at the end of the day.
I tested the Aprilia Tuono & RSV1000R, the Ducati GT1000 and the Hypermotard, the Honda VFR800 and CBR600RR, and the SV1000 and GSX-R600 before making the ultimate decision. At the end of the day, it was the smile that rider training days at the track put on my face that swayed the decision, along with the ultra-competitive pricing that Suzuki still have right now.
Now... where is that hill, and why is it raining?
