I need to remove my zxr400 speedo but have heard that if you dont do it correctly it restricts the bike to 10k RPM

does anyone know how to do this?

thanks

easiest way is to pay fifty bucks and get a "cheater" box.
The other way is some diods n stuff and bridging summat

If you are not using the speedo again you can pull it apart and get the electrics out of it. Thanks what I ended up doing.

Sweet thanks dude. I'll see what i can figure out. If it gets too hard ill just pull the speedo off and tuck the electrics behind it some how

Also check what CDI you have, if you have a blue 'M' one then there is a high chance you wont have a speed cut.

I just used a small zip lock bag and taped up the open end...works well so far
