I love the man's slightly unconvincing humility. I can just see him grinning slightly as he utters all those disclaimers about it being impossible for him to win.

He's no spring chicken, but I wonder how far he'll go in the two-wheeled racing scene?

He's good on 2 wheels.

At a test session at Valencia, I think it was, he was lapping 3 secs off the lap record on Casey Stoners Ducati - impressive, by any measure! Apparently they ( the Ducati race team), were all impressed by his corner entry speeds.

At a recent superbike race in Germany, he came in third, being beaten only by the current German champions.

Apparently he's really taking to bike racing, in his retirement, having a Desmocedici and a 1098R, set up for track days, at least.


Wait 'til he has his first big off, then see how keen he is...........
