So, down some random back-country road, halfway around a corner, engine starts to squeal...
Slow down, start to pull over, seizes ... clutch, stop, etc...
Phone home for trailier... Get it home, find mechanic, find problem...
Plus side, should be fixed next days off!
Bad side.... stupid bus... which reminds me, I really should get ready now I have to leave home 30min earlier again :blank:

it's run a bearing somewhere. Should be a straight-forward repair. If you're unlucky you might have to replace a housing.

Is it a secret? I'll ask quietly then. How did it happen?

I just skimmed over your post quickly, and honestly thought you wrote "if you're unlucky you might have to replace it with a Hyosung!!!"

Big end of the con rod, should get it all done thursday (stupid jobs, 12hr shifts don't give me much time to do much else)

I'm doing all I can to fix her asap! Thursday is the current ETA.
Do I really have to do the shame head hangy thing, isn't taking the bus and thinking "I should be home by now" as we're pulling out from work enough?:innocent:

Yea, that became #1 on the list of things to check while I was there.
But don't worry, I'll be checking a lot of non-directly-related things too (might as well if it's going to be in bits)

Believe it's (as DB said) the bearing big end of con rod. (no sway freely)
At the moment it's just wait 'til I get time to pull it apart (planning on doing so before my pre-nightshift-nap), see what needs replacing (priced already), order parts, put it all back together.
Shouldn't be any problems, but if there are, you'll probally get a "Where did this go again?" text ;)
Also:
Found out I had access to a motorbike mechanic, so that's helping things along ;)

Pulled apart
Order replacement parts
Tell them to get the -right- ones this time
Wait for guy to press crank
Wait for guy to press crank

Put back together
It goes! :)

ok make sure its got the right SAE spec (not too thick) oil in it, and theres enough of it, or nothing is blocked as has been said.
