Heading to Taupo this weekend for the HRC skool.
What gearing works well at Taupo, looking at the circuit I assume it would be the same at Ruapuna?
Could someone who is reasonably quick round there shed some light please as the bike has to be crated up this arvo.
Green squares for help!!

at least one down on the front
I run 16/41 on the zx10, but will most likely go 16/42 next time there

I'm using 15/43 and still not quite hitting 6th,probably not much help being a litre bike, agree with Archer about a smaller front, will really help punching out of the corners.

The straight is a lot longer that ruapuna. I've only ridden my 125 there (and only for 7 or 8 laps at that) but in those laps I found that the gearing I was running (ruapuna) to be slightly short. Maybe closer to teretonga?

I used 15-46 on my last time there on CBR6 and it would nearly hit the limiter without a draft. That equates to about a genuine 240. Your bike would be a bit faster so perhaps aim for gearing a 250-260 top speed.

Thanks guys, much appreciated!
I packed it away with teretonga gearing (15/43) anyways, will tell you how it goes....
ARGH 2 HIGH not nearly as fast as Teretonga! - exactly the same as Manfield for me. Have fun (long way to go for school?)

One tooth lower on the back than manfield gearing Jerry (assuming its the long track)

But if you've only got 70hp it depends on the wind direction...
