Howdy, keen to hear from anyone with experiences with these tyres. I just got back from a South Island trip that clocked up 5k with the Vstrom. It was a solo trip mainly on tarmac with side paniers, a topbox and a bag on the rear seat (and I am a bit heavy fisted with the throttle).

The front wore very well but the back has squared off and is nearly down to the wear bars in the centre (plenty on the sides). I used to run Trailwings with 36 in the rear solo so I bumped the Distanzia rear up to 38. Anyone got better mileage than this with these and what pressures were you running? Thanks.

Hey Hammer
I recently put Avon's on my F650GS, quite happy with them so far. After a trip up to Northland from Wellington and general riding I've clocked up about 3500km on them and they seem to be wearing well. Not had much chance in the wet yet as its always sunny in Wellington.
I'm a bit old school when it comes to tyre pressures, I go by the feel, if its hard when i kick it, its the right pressure.

What?

Is that with or without shoes?

Let us know what mileage you get out them, won't you? And what you are comparing them to??
I'm running Metzeler Tourances which grip well and seem to be bloody good value for money; current set has done 15K, and I reckon on another 3K before the front needs to go in the bin. The rear looks like it could go another 10K yet.
