Hi All,

My old World Endurance championship colleagues (long story short, we used to run the official website and issue all the press releases, race content etc) thought it would be fun to put together an April Fool gag.

So, making use of the Race24.com site that one of us still runs, we put the following together:

http://www.race24.com/news/news08040100.html

It struck me that it would be funny if Motor Cycle News picked this up and reported it as fact!

So, if anyone fancies winding up a publication not known for always checking the facts in case they get in the way of a good story, please email the editor, Marc Potter:

marc.potter@emap.com

Saying something like "Isn't it great to see Morini back in racing?" or "I thought you might like to see this press release about Morini taking part at Le Mans?" - and send him the above link.

It would be brilliant if they did fall for it.

So if you fancy winding them up, please do!

Thanks all,

Bob

Har Har!

But really, GET THOSE EMAILS IN TO MCN! Bear in mind they'll be looking to compile news for next week's issue around now, it is still a valid wind-up.

Be nice to see them drop themselves in it once again (there was a great one a few years back. One of the big UK news groups spotted MCN lifting news items from them... so they built an elaborate spoof, which MCN published! So it'd be nice to get them again...)
