hey there,

seems like a cool site
been riding for about 4 years and want to get off the 150, would like a 600 but don't have much $$$ but I'm told the 400s (or there abouts) are alot cheeper because they arn't as popular. anyone know how the handling and power compare's to a 600?

Hey, yeah I just (well 2 weeks ago) moved from an FXR 150 on to a RF400, I would recommend you would do more or less the same, it has the size of about a 900 (not kidding, the rf900 in size is almost identical to rf400) dont go to 250 or anything above 600, after the fxr our "full-throttle-happy hands" are going to have a lot of trouble adjusting to the punt of a (lets say) GSXR750, I would recommend that you will get the biggest 400 there is, so that size wise it will prepare you for your future Ducati 996, and you will not flip yourself, also be more careful, FXR is very forgiving with gears and dimensions, very easy to pick up, but if you let a big bike lean when you are stationary the margine for error is a LOT smaller, just respect the bigger bikes more because their weight will really crush you, none the less they are hell of a lot more fun to ride, so much more stable! Have fun on the roads,

Hope That Helps
