What are the difference?

Who prefers a Ciggy or a Cigar?

How do you smoke a Cigar?

Magua

Guess I'll hang it up on the wall :D

Ciggarette is about the sensation of the inhale, the exhale and the hit of the nicotine

Cigars is about the taste, and arguably about the pose. You do not inhale (trust me DAMHIK)

I believe you still get nicotine from cigars, but it's absorbed rather into the lungs so it's not so immediate (snorting ummmmm cocaine for instance is a lot quicker than eating it).

Stick it between your butt cheeks and take a photo. It will look comical.

I wouldn't hang it on the wall. Cigars are supposed to be stored in a Humidor (http://images.google.co.nz/images?hl=en&q=Humidor&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi) to preserve the correct level of moisture for maximum enjoyment (keeps 'em moist).

Apparently you can use a intern to keep em moist also.

or to keep the intern moist

or insert (pun intended) your own joke about Mr Clinton here.

Last year at my friend's bachelor party another friend, a very cheap guy, went down to some convenience store and bought a $2.50 cigar. Yours wouldn't be one of them, would it?

Use to smoke the odd cigar and yes you do inhale cigars. You smoke them much like a pipe. A lot of puffing, a lot of smoke.

I use to occasionly smoke cigarello's. Don't know if you can still buy them but these were black cigars about the size of a conventional ciggertte. Very strong and powerfull.................looked cool too...............when I thought that was important:jerry:

If you've never smoked a cigar before, just take it really lightly otherwise you'll be as crook as a dog  good ones have a rich aromatic flavour ;)

Closest ciggys that get to cigar flavour are San Remo, Sorbranie (Black Russian Cigarettes), Gitane (foul French things).

Koala says chuff it up :done:

Cigars don't have the poisonous additives of cigarettes.

Therefore they are wholly organic and are good for you...

I have smoked the odd cigar, worth spending a bit of coin and getting a decent cigar rather than two or more packs of smokes for the same price.

Take your time with it. Perhaps go and get a nice bottle of port, or proper whiskey to enjoy with it. Oh, and try not to slobber it up.

The last thing I ever smoked (apart from a few trout) was a cigar on 25 December 1999. Can't say I enjoyed it as I hadn't smoked anything for about 7 years before that.

Do something funny with it. More socially acceptable than polluting the atmosphere with it.

I've had the odd cigar, prefer ciggies though..

Cigars you have to be.. patient with. And if you smoke ciggarettes you have a tendency to inhale and they really don't taste that nice inhaled.

Must say the Montecristo is rather nice. Quite like the Punch as well. Smooth but getting stronger from half way.

Can't go wrong with either of those. I like the pepper of the R&J but it can seem a little harsh. Probably best with a good single malt.

Lung cancer Vs mouth Cancer...

Unless you smoke all day like Churchill there is no evidence that the odd cigar (say once a month) causes any increased risk of cancer.

For all your Cuban needs... http://www.havanahouse.co.nz/

You have to email them to get their rather large range as posting an online catalogue is considered advertising under our draconian laws.

To answer EJ's question:

http://www.wikihow.com/Smoke-a-Cigar
http://cigars.about.com/od/howtomaximizeenjoyment/ss/0062402.htm

And if it came from a gas station or dairy (and cost less than $20) it's probably not a proper cigar. It's more like rolled up tobacco. Kinda like Johnny Walker Red isn't proper whiskey.

EDIT: oh and it's probably too late now - didn't notice it was a dredge.
